Are daily fantasy sports legal?

Yes. Fantasy sports are considered a game of skill and have received an exemption from the 2006 Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA). Daily Fantasy Sports have roughly the same rules as season long fantasy sports, but the biggest difference is that DFS typically only last for a day. Daily Fantasy Sports require skill and are therefore not considered gambling or illegal, and you can play with confidence. The laws however are a bit unclear in various states in the US such as Arizona, Iowa, Luisiana, Montana and Washington so DFS companies do not allow potential users from these states to take part.

What are player analytics?

Analytics according to Wikipedia are described as the discovery and communication of meaningful patterns in data. So in our case we take in a large amount of raw player data from various sporting leagues, then analyze it with the end goal of outputting it in a more valuable form for user consumption.

We love pizza so using a tast food example. Just imagine a restuarant buying lots of cheese, sauce, flour, meats, and vegetables, then putting those ingredients together to form something delicious that we can easily eat and enjoy. Our ingredients include tons of player data from thousands of games and tournaments, and our pizzas are the delicious player analytics we produce. You can snack on them or have all you can eat buffets, your approach is totally up to you.
